need help hooking up tv and equipment?
I just but and lcd hd tv. Right now I have the digital cable box hooked up to it using a HDMI cable. Then I have a surround sound system hooked up to it using another HDMI cable and a red and white audio cable for the sound. Everything looks and sounds great, but here’s my question. I also have my xbox360 hooked up. Right now it’s hooked up with the component cables that came with the Xbox, it looks awesome on the tv, but how do I make the sound come from the surround sound and not the tv?
There are two ways you can hook up your Xbox to get surround sound.
One way would be to hook up your Xbox directly to your receiver, if your Xbox has an audio output jack , just connect it to an audio inout of your receiver.
The other would be to hook up your TV to the receiver, just connect an audio output from your TV to the input of your receiver.
